From Nick Boel@1:154/700 to All on Wed Oct 7 02:33:57 2026
    Hello, All!

All messages imported via nntp are coming in with no MSGID (when they definitely do have one), according to the Mail Activity log.

    Regards,
    Nick

Which nntp server are you using? SBBS? I see something like this happening with Wendzelnntpd, but not with Smapi/Jamnntpd.

No problems with INN either. So far all looks fine.

This 'No MSGID' -thing I can confirm if I check the log. However I don't see any dupes.

Yes, SBBS. Could it be because Smapi/Jamnntpd use traditional Fidonet MSGIDs and the other two use "everything besides Fidonet" style MSGID? ;)

In my case, every message in the area are re-downloaded every time I pull new mail, and they are marked as new messages (with the error you've see, of course).

Are you by chance not displaying old/read messages? I am.
