Probably you were pressing Home/End on the numeric keypad with
NumLock off, like on many laptops?
Exactly. At home I use a laptop and never liked the size and position of those keys, I always use the numeric keypad. I even forgot they were there O:-)
If yes - I've added workaround around that.

Some more comments:
In the message list, it would be nice to be able to move with PgUp and PgDn too.
I've noticed that you can now use either long-press (left mouse button) or right-click for context menus.
But right-click doesn't work in the message editor - only long-press.
When you close the program with Alt-F4 or clicking the top-right X, it does without asking, so if you are writing a message you lose the changes.
